Our Journey of Faith: How the Free Urdu Bible Mission Began in 2009
Every great ministry has a beginning, a moment when a vision is born and a commitment is made. The story of Free Urdu Bibles and Good Samaritan Ministries begins in 2009, with a miraculous healing and a sacred vow.
The Miraculous Healing
In 2009, Dr. Naeem Nasir faced a serious health crisis. His condition was severe, and many questioned whether he would survive. But God had other plans. Through prayer, medical intervention, and divine grace, Dr. Nasir experienced a miraculous healing that changed the trajectory of his entire life.
This healing was not just physical; it was spiritual and transformative. As Dr. Nasir recovered, he felt the Lord speaking to his heart with a clear calling: dedicate your life to spreading God’s Word and bringing the Gospel to as many people as possible in Pakistan.
A Sacred Commitment
Out of gratitude for his healing and obedience to God’s calling, Dr. Nasir made a solemn vow. He would commit himself to distributing Free Urdu Bibles throughout Pakistan, ensuring that no one would be denied access to God’s Word due to financial constraints.
Starting Small, Dreaming Big
The mission began modestly. In 2009, Dr. Nasir started by distributing just 5 Free Urdu Bibles. Five! To many, this seemed like a small drop in an ocean of spiritual need. But Dr. Nasir had a larger vision. He believed that if one Bible could transform a life, then multiplied across thousands and millions, the impact could be revolutionary.
The Growing Movement
From those initial 5 Bibles, the movement grew. By 2012, just three years later, Good Samaritan Ministries had organized evangelistic crusades that reached thousands of people and distributed Bibles on a much larger scale. The vision was becoming reality.
Today, over 150,000 Free Urdu Bibles have been distributed. Thousands of lives have been touched. Hundreds of churches have been strengthened. Communities have been transformed. The miraculous healing of 2009 has resulted in a spiritual awakening across Pakistan.
Looking Forward
From 2009 to 2025, we have traveled a remarkable journey. But the vision is not complete. Dr. Naeem Nasir’s goal remains clear and unwavering: to distribute 1 million Free Urdu Bibles by 2033, reaching every person in Pakistan with the transformative message of Jesus Christ.
